TREATMENT WATERPROOFING ANTI-STAIN ANTI-WEAR FINISH FOR SLATE AND NATURAL STONE SURFACE

HOW TO USE

• Apply BLACKSTONE by sponge, (use a small quantity of product for each passage). Always making sure not to create coating and take away surplus before the product dries completely.
• Where necessary, repeat until you get the desired effect.

YIELD: depends on the materials finished and from the intensity of the wished aesthetic effect.

ADVICES FOR THE INSTALLATION OF SLATE FLOORINGS
The installation of slate floors has to be execute by workers specialized in natural stones, who adopts his own techniques of installation; consequently that by us" Is recommended " or "not recommended" is given only as informative information and it does not assume obligatory characteristics. We recommend the installation of slate tiles with glues, type "Mapei" or "Kerakoll H40" (Who maintains the adhesion also in the presence of humidity and thus it can be also used in outsides).

We don’t recommend the installation with mortar of cement or lime because it can be that, the water infiltrates between the joints of stone floors, soaks the layer of mortar and then goes out in some point of the floor dragging tracks of calcite that can stain the material irreparably. In exterior floors and inside in these of big dimensions makes indispensable the installation of joints of dilation.

VERY IMPORTANT
CLEANING DURING THE EXECUTION A particular care must be brought to the cleaning of the slate, during the installation and during the execution of joints, the final result depends on it. It is necessary to proceed to cleaning of elements during the installation, approximately each 2 m², and during the execution of joints. This cleaning will be made by sponge with clear water so to avoid the tracks of cement on the roughness of the slate. The slate floor must be exempt from any tracks of cement. Since this is a NATURAL STONE, cannot be laid as normal ceramic tiles, thus, its essential, for the layer, to follow the instructions scrupulously: NEVER ALLOW ANY ADHESIVE/FILLER RESIDUE TO DRY ON THE SURFACE. CLEAN THE SURFACE WITH A SIMPLE WET SPONGE – WATER ONLY – BEFORE ANY FILLER OR ADHESIVE HAS DRIED COMPLETELY. These simple precautions will give perfect results. OTHERWISE, since NATURAL STONE CANNOT STAND ANY ACIDIC CLEANING PRODUCTS, IT WILL BE VERY DIFFICULT TO CLEAN THE SURFACE WITHOUT DAMAGING IT!
